The latest 2019 NFL mock draft features a slight shift in the top 10 as injuries begin to have their effects in training camps across the country.

Not only that but there’s also a growing sense of where every team is at in terms of their roster strength and what their ceiling might be for this season. It’s a rather fascinating exercise. Either way, one thing is clear. Those teams that will be picking the first round might bear witness to one of the most loaded defensive line groups in draft history. That’s not an exaggeration. It’s almost absurd how much talent there could be available.

1. Buffalo Bills

. DE. Ohio State. Nick Bosa . 1. player. 16

It feels like the Buffalo Bills are squarely in rebuilding mode now. They’re unloading lots of their veteran players in favor of young draft picks. The odds that they can do this and still keep winning are remote. Especially given the uncertainty at the quarterback position where they must choose between former backup A.J. McCarron and unproven rookie Josh Allen.

It could end up being a tough year. Thankfully this allows them to secure a critical lynchpin for their shuffle to a 4-3 alignment on defense, drafting gifted defensive end Nick Bosa who should become their primary pass rusher for years to come. Word is he’s every bit as gifted as his brother Joey, who’s a Pro Bowler. Perhaps even more so. Sean McDermott will love him.
