Zero injuries
Make no mistake. The end result of the game itself means nothing. It won’t matter if the Bears win by 50 or lose by 50. All they care about is getting some good execution from the players, some good teaching tape and above all to get out of Canton with as few injuries as possible. Given how haunted this team has been by health issues the past few years, this should rank #1, #2 and #3 on any list.
How the offense executes
Getting in and out of the huddle on time. Running the right routes. Picking up the right blocks. All of that and more goes into properly executing an NFL offense. Nagy wants to see it in this game, regardless of whether it’s backups or not. More than scoring points he wants to see a crisp execution. All players working in tandem with as few mistakes as possible. This game should offer an inclination of how far along they are.
Consistency from Cody Parkey
The Bears have had a lot of problems that go into their losing issues, but one of the more nagging is their situation at kicker. Since the end of the Robbie Gould era, they haven’t been able to find someone who can provide stability with their field goals and extra points. This has often cost them games in the past. That’s why they went out and signed Cody Parkey. He went to a Pro Bowl as a rookie and was 21-of-23 last season. It would be nice to see him have a strong afternoon.
