Things are changing on the Seattle Seahawks defense. Many of the vaunted names that made it such a great unit for so long are gone. Richard Sherman is in San Francisco. Michael Bennett was traded to Philadelphia. Cliff Avril was released due to a rough injury to his neck. Kam Chancellor still may be forced to retire with similar issues. The team desperately needs young guys to step up and fill the void of veteran talent they’ve lost.

One guy who has really started to do that over the past two years is defensive end Frank Clark. In that span he’s recorded 19 sacks, establishing himself as one of the better pass rushers in the NFL. With the way clear for him to become the full-time starter in 2018, his opportunities to pile up the stats are greater than ever before. Now that some of the big names are no longer hanging over his head, he might finally get some well-deserved recognition.
