NFL Pro Bowl: First-Timer Projections For All 32 Teams

San Francisco 49ers
He was a late-riser during the draft last year but people could see the promise that George Kittle showed coming out of Iowa. Even though he fell to the 5th round, it was still felt the San Francisco 49ers may have gotten a steal, provided Kyle Shanahan could develop him into a more consistent threat in the passing game. Early indications are his efforts were a success. Kittle posted a respectable 515 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie.
Now with Jimmy Garoppolo set to be his quarterback for an entire season rather than just five games, the expectations should rightfully be elevated. Kittle fits that system well and will have space to work with thanks to the speed the 49ers have at wide receiver. Kittle is a tireless worker when it comes to his game and Shanahan’s offense tends to take a giant step forward in the second year. He will be a big beneficiary of that.
