NFL Pro Bowl: First-Timer Projections For All 32 Teams
By Erik Lambert
Jacksonville Jaguars
The NFL world got a taste for the first time of just how good Myles Jack can be last season. It took some time for him to overcome some prior health issues. At last he was getting healthy in 2017 and he began to emerge as a playmaker on one of the best defenses in the league. It was his performance in the playoffs that got everybody’s attention. Every week it seemed like he was making a big play. A sack against Buffalo. An interception against Pittsburgh.
By rights he should’ve had the decisive play of the AFC championship with a fumble he forced and returned for a touchdown. Sadly the referees ruined it with a bad call that stated he was down by contact. That kept the New England Patriots in the game and allowed them to make a late comeback. Regardless, it was part of the announcement that Jack was no longer a supporting role in this Jaguars stage play. He’s a leading actor now.
