Seattle Seahawks:  Earl Thomas

The exodus of the Legion of Boom seems inevitable at this point. Richard Sherman is already gone. Kam Chancellor may not be far behind. Now Earl Thomas is the last man standing and he’s been surrounded by trade rumors for months. The All-Pro safety is approaching 30-years old but he’s still one of the best at his position. This is his last chance to get a favorable contract before age becomes too big a factor. The problem is the Seahawks remain unclear on their true intentions.

Likely result:  Persist

It really feels like this situation is getting contentious. Rumors indicate Thomas is tired of being jerked around on the contract matter. Given where he’s at in his career, he seems content to sit things out until Seattle finds a solution. Whether that’s a new deal or a trade elsewhere is up to them. He seems content with either as rumors hint he’d be happy with moves to Dallas or Oakland.
