Vernon Hargreaves, Cornerback
The former first-round pick out of Florida has failed, thus far, to live up to the billing of a high draft choice.
Hargreaves only played 47.4 percent of the defensive snaps for the Buccaneers last season due to injury and has just one interception in 25 career games.
That’s not what the Bucs expected from Hargreaves coming out of college, but this year might be the year everything clicks for him.
With the Buccaneers’ vastly improved defensive front, Hargreaves stands as good of a chance as anyone on the back end of the Bucs’ defense to benefit from the added pressure up front.
If Hargreaves can stay healthy in 2018, he’s got to have a big season.
Either that or the Buccaneers are going to start looking for ways they can move on.
