2. Will Grier, West Virginia

After transferring from the University of Florida in December 2015, Grier needed an environment where he was able to present his elite skill set.

In 2017, we saw what Grier is capable of.

Grier topped 3,400 yards passing in his first season with the West Virginia Mountaineers in an offense that averaged 34.5 points per game and 459.5 yards per game. More impressively, Grier was fifth in the country in quarterback rating with 162.7.

Even during his brief time with the Gators, it was quite clear that Grier has the tools to be one of the best quarterbacks in the country and a future NFL passer.

Another season under head coach Dan Holgerson and the West Virginia scheme will only enhance Grier and allow him to be even more polished.

Grier will enter the season as a prime Heisman candidate and a great candidate for first or second team All-America.
