College Football Power Ranking: Top 5 Quarterbacks in 2018
Jake Fromm, Georgia – The amount of talent around Fromm this past season in Athens was incredible. But thanks to the steady and reliable play of Fromm as a true freshman, the Bulldogs found themselves a solid second half away from being crowned as National Champions. Fromm passed for 2,615 yards and 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions during his inaugural season in college football. He has another true freshman breathing down his neck in Justin Fields but Fromm is the captain of the ship in Athens and his success will dictate plenty for the Bulldogs.

Ryan Finley, N.C. State – When some describe a “game manager”, Finley’s skill set is accurately depicted. Finley has thrown for 6,573 yards and 35 touchdowns in the past two seasons for the Wolfpack and was a major reason why they were a nine-win team in 2017. Finley has a great number of weapons around in 2018 and could be in line for another impressive 2018 campaign.
Jake Browning, Washington – For three seasons, Browning has been a staple of production for the Washington Huskies. He’s second all-time in school history in passing yards, first in touchdowns, and third in completions. While he doesn’t possess a rocket arm, he is accurate and proficient. It’s easy for his hard work to go unnoticed as he is nestled in the Pacific Northwest.
McKenzie Milton, Central Florida – The Knights had a high-powered offense on the field during their undefeated 2017 season and Milton was the catalyst behind it. Milton was seventh in the country in passing yards last season (4,037) and was second in college football in pass efficiency rating (179.3). The departure of former head coach Scott Frost was important but with Milton at the helm, UCF will have one of the best playmakers at the position in college football.
Jake Bentley, South Carolina – Quietly, nestled in Columbia, South Carolina, Bentley has been a young playmaker for the Gamecocks over the past two seasons. The Gamecocks turned to Bentley in late October during his freshman 2016 season and tossed for six touchdowns and zero interceptions in his first three games. Bentley was fourth in the SEC last season in passing yards and from a skill standpoint, is one of the more refined passers in the country. Even with just two years of experience.
