Meet the top five players at the quarterback position across college football for the upcoming 2018 season.

Thanks to the upheaval of a number of prominent quarterbacks in the 2018 NFL Draft, the college football front has a few new faces at the forefront of the quarterback position.

This time last year, the likes of Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, Josh Rosen, and Lamar Jackson entered the 2017 season as the top signal callers.

By season’s end, Mayfield ended up as the Heisman winner while the 2016 Heisman winner in Jackson finished in third place. Both Rosen and Darnold were top 10 selections in this year’s draft, and Jackson rounded out the first round.

As we turn the pages to this season, there are a few quarterbacks who could walk the same path due to their talent and elevated expectations. So let’s get started with the top five quarterbacks in college football with a few players who just missed the list.
