Chicago Bears Camp Stock Watch: Nick Kwiatkoski Takes Advantage
By Erik Lambert
Stock Down: Aaron Lynch
The Bears took a calculated risk when they signed Aaron Lynch in free agency. They knew he had a history with Vic Fangio and had played well under him as a rookie. At just 24-years old there was a reason to think he has plenty of time to still realize his considerable potential. The problem is he suffered through a number of setbacks the past couple of years in San Francisco. Those don’t seem to have gone away since he arrived in Chicago.
Almost immediately after the offseason practices began, Lynch suffered a hamstring injury. He was forced to miss time and wait for training camp where it was expected he’d be 100%. Sure enough, camp arrived and news quickly broke he’d re-aggravated the same injury. With each passing day, he’s missing valuable time to get re-acquainted with Fangio. To say nothing of the conditioning issues. Given how thin the Bears pass rush is, this isn’t the best news.
