32. Green Bay Packers (via NO)

QB. West Virginia. Will Grier . 32. player. 49.

Aaron Rodgers is still a superstar but his situation in Green Bay grows more fluid by the day what with contract concerns, age and mounting injuries. No doubt the likelihood is he’s still going to be great for some time but nothing is guaranteed. In this scenario, the Packers decide to get themselves some insurance against future issues involved from losing him. So they get started on their search here. Will Grier, despite not getting the starting job at the start of 2017, emerged as a serious playmaker for WVU. He’s got good size, a competent arm, accuracy and seems to throw with anticipation and timing. Mike McCarthy can work with that. Too early?

Brett Favre was 36 when Rodgers was drafted. Rodgers turns 35 in December.
