In case the title didn’t make it clear, every 2019 NFL mock draft for the next several months will likely be stacked with a host of defensive line talent.

Depending on how things go, it could be a special year on that side of the football. If teams are seeking out help with their pass rush, interior or on the edge, this will be the year to find it. That’s not to say there aren’t options elsewhere. It could be one of the most divisive years at quarterback in a long time while the offensive line will also factor heavily. Much depends on how the final pecking order shakes out. Rest assured it’s going to be a wild ride.

A good 4-3 defense doesn’t happen without a good front four. Right now the Buffalo Bills are shuffling that part of their unit. Last season their two leading pass rushers had four sacks apiece. That isn’t going to cut it if they want to go any further than the wild card round they reached in 2017. For that, they require a true defensive end who can get after the quarterback.

Nick Bosa is said to have the same physical capabilities as his star older brother Joey. He’s big, strong, quick off the snap and shows he can finish violently with his rush. There is still more learning to do from a fundamental perspective. If he can avoid any injury setbacks he should be a polished gem by the time the draft rolls around.
