The best wide receiver the Bears had in 2017 was Kendall Wright. Is it any wonder that Mitch Trubisky struggled as a rookie quarterback? A passer is only as good as his weapons. Chicago needed to give him somebody he could look too when a big play is needed.

A true #1 target that defenses couldn’t ignore. Allen Robinson was the only receiver in free agency who fit that description and the Bears got him for relatively cheap at $14 million a year.

There is a risk with his torn ACL recovery, but when healthy he’s a game-changing talent the Bears haven’t had since Brandon Marshall.
