Unlike most of the other teams in the NFL this offseason, the Buffalo Bills didn’t double dip with a high-priced free agent quarterback and a top draft pick.

The Bills opted instead to sign A.J. McCarron to a modest deal, and then use their many valuable draft assets to trade up for Josh Allen in the 2018 NFL Draft.

This is the most important offseason move the Buffalo Bills could have made, because Allen represents the future of the franchise.

Will he be able to overcome his inaccuracy issues? Does he have the mental toughness for the grind of the NFL?

Allen is supremely talented physically, but he has so much to learn as he transitions to the NFL.

The Bills are counting on it happening sooner than later.
