The New Orleans Saints’ season came to a crazy end against the Minnesota Vikings but this was a team that could have legitimately contended for a Super Bowl.

No offense to the Vikings, but the Saints may have been a more formidable foe in the NFC Championship game thanks to a resurgent defense last season led by some incredible rookie defensive backs and one of the best, most underrated pass rushers in the game — Cameron Jordan.

That core this offseason the Saints added linebacker Demario Davis. In an age where many linebackers come off the field on passing downs, Davis led the NFL last season with over 1,100 snaps at his middle linebacker position and in those snaps, he was one of the most efficient playmakers in the league.

Davis plays the run exceptionally well and gives the Saints a fearless leader in the middle of their defense.
