There’s no debate here despite the Minnesota Vikings having a really strong offseason. Signing Sheldon Richardson and drafting Mike Hughes to beef up the defense aren’t moves that should be ignored, but nothing compares to signing one of the best free agent quarterbacks in recent memory.

Cousins received one of the largest guaranteed contracts in NFL history worth $82.5 million over three years, despite having zero playoffs wins in his career. Much of that can be chalked up to the Redskins being a failed organization that sunk too much into Robert Griffin III then into keeping Cousins on the franchise tag.

With little help around him, Cousins did what he could and that led to this massive deal. It’s one of the biggest offseason additions in recent memory, and it could result in the Vikings winning a Super Bowl sooner than later.
