. Guard, NFL Draft. . Quenton Nelson. . team. 46

Indianapolis signed eight free agents this offseason and drafted 11 players, but none will be more important to the Colts than first-round pick Quenton Nelson.

Scouted as one of the best players to come out of college football in the last decade, Nelson will start at left guard for the Colts. Considering the Colts issues at quarterback with Andrew Luck coming off shoulder surgery, Nelson will be one of the biggest cogs in their offense.

Indianapolis has dedicated a lot to the interior of their offensive line, drafting Nelson and Braden Smith in the first two rounds this year and center Ryan Kelly in the first round last year.

Time will tell if Indy’s tackles can hold up with Anthony Castonzo returning at left tackle and a major question remaining on the right side. Denzelle Good, who played just 284 snaps last year finished 37th among all tackles, both according to PFF. Offseason addition Austin Howard sits directly behind him on the ranking.
