#9: Warren Moon
Of all the players in NFL history to not have a championship ring, Warren Moon may have the most interesting story. After a fairly modest career at Washington statistically, Moon was undrafted in 1978 and wound up signing on with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League.
Moon would not start his first NFL game until the age of 28 when he signed on with the Houston Oilers after a stellar career in Canada. After his Hall of Fame CFL days, Moon was coveted by NFL teams and he ended up throwing 291 touchdown passes with a career win-loss record of 102-101.
In his 17 NFL seasons, Moon played in just 10 postseason games, winning three. He’s an NFL Hall of Famer today, but he would undoubtedly trade one of his nine Pro Bowl selections for a championship. Along the way he had to endure some brutal defeats including the biggest collapse in postseason history when his Houston Oilers coughed up a 35-3 lead to Buffalo, losing 41-38.
