Fran Tarkenton (1967-1971, 69 Games)

 13,905 Yds, 103-72 TD-INT, 55.4 Cmp%, 5.4 TD%, 3.8 INT%, 81.0 Passer Rating

Perhaps best known for his days as a member of the Minnesota Vikings, Tarkenton also performed admirably as a member of the Giants. He has the fifth-most passing yardage in team history and did so in just a handful of seasons.

Though he was only with the Giants for five seasons, he was a pro-bowler for four of those seasons. He delivered a 3,000 yard season in 1967, never failing to top 2,500 yards in a season with the Giants. Tarkenton was also quite the runner, delivering 300+ rushing yards in 1967 and 1968 as well.

Again, nothing against Conerly, but his efficiency was minimal and his turnovers too often when compared to others in the franchise’s record books. While Conerly saw 5.9% of his passes get picked off, Tarkenton only saw 3.8% of his passes go the other way.

Tarkenton’s number can be found at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, though his great work with New York is overshadowed by his time with the Minnesota Vikings.
