#2:  Mike Ditka (Dallas Cowboys)

Now some knowledgeable fans will be quick to point out that the Dallas Cowboys weren’t the first team Mike Ditka played for after his unfortunate departure from Chicago in 1967. He spent a brief period with the Philadelphia Eagles before that. However, anybody with a lick of common sense will say it was much harder seeing him with a star on the helmet.

Part of that is because so many people hate the Cowboys but another part was simple jealousy. George Halas had refused to pay the future Hall of Fame tight end more money. As a result, Ditka left. He eventually landed in Dallas where he helped that team win the Super Bowl in 1971, scoring a crucial touchdown to put the game away.
