The Arizona Cardinals are hoping a healthy David Johnson and improved quarterback play (from either Sam Bradford or Josh Rosen) can help them compete in the very tough NFC West.

If they’re going to return to being division contenders, they are going to need some players to step up in a big way in 2018.

Here are five players who could have breakout seasons for the Cardinals in 2018…

5. Chad Williams, WR

Off-field issues and a relatively low profile coming out of Grambling State in 2017 made Chad Williams the mystery man of the top 100 in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Williams has very intriguing size at 6-foot-1, 204 pounds with 32-inch arms. He posted very good numbers at his pro day with a 4.43-second 40-yard dash, 35.5-inch vertical jump, and 21 bench press reps at 225 pounds.

Despite his phenomenal athletic traits, Williams was only able to get on the field enough for three receptions (31 yards) and two carries in 2017 as a rookie.

With the Cardinals’ current wide receiver situation, Williams will either have a breakout year or drift into anonymity. The Cardinals need a player with his traits to step up on the outside in 2018.
