. . The 1991-1992 Chicago Bulls. 7. team. 24.

The 1991-1992 Chicago Bulls team got off to a hot start as they won 15 of their first 17 games
of the season. In the second half of the season, the Bulls went 20-4 to finish the regular season
with a record of 67-15. Michael Jordan went on to win his sixth-straight scoring title after
averaging 30.1 points per game.

It was the third-straight season that the Bulls won 50 or more games, and it was the fifth-straight season where they won 30 or more games at home. It was also the third straight year where the Bulls had a plus .500 road record.

In the first round of the playoffs, the Bulls swept the Miami Heat. In the Eastern Conference Semifinals, the Bulls battled the New York Knicks to a grueling 4-3 series win before dispatching Cleveland in six to reach the NBA Finals. The Bulls played host to the Portland Trailblazers. In Game 1, Jordan delivered a game for the ages when he hit six 3-pointers in the first half, end the last with his famous “Shrug.”

Chicago seemed to control the series through the first four games, building a 3-1 series lead. However, things grew dicey from there. The Blazers grabbed Game 5 and then jumped out way ahead in Game 6. By the start of the 4th quarter, they had a comfortable 79-64 lead. Jordan was gassed and on the bench. Everything was going their way.

Then things got crazy. Sparked by a couple big plays from bench player Bobby Hansen, Chicago started a run that saw them cut the Portland lead to three points in just three minutes. With a rested Jordan coming back into the game, the Bulls made one final surge to complete the comeback and a 97-93 win to take the championship.
