Carolina Panthers

5. player. 87. . OLB. Denver Broncos. Von Miller

It may not have been a sustained villainy like others on this list, but rest assured even to this day that Carolina Panthers players and fans can still see Von Miller in their nightmares. That’s how devastating his performance in Super Bowl 50 was. He alone took a 15-1 team into his hands and flattened it like a pancake until their spirits were broken.

He was everywhere in that game. Not only did Miller sack Cam Newton 2.5 times and forced two critical fumbles that all but won the Denver Broncos the game, he also made six tackles and deflected a pass. To understand, the Panthers averaged 40 points in their first two playoff games. They managed 10 in the Super Bowl, and that was mostly because of Miller.

Then, just to rub salt in the wound, the Broncos and Panthers met again in the 2016 season opener. Miller sacked Newton again and helped to force the key turnover that handed Denver the win. Carolina would spiral to a 6-10 season.
