The Pittsburgh Steelers-Baltimore Ravens rivalry didn’t really become a thing until the late 2000s when the two teams began competing for playoff supremacy. Most of that time was characterized by one thing:  physicality. Both teams were known for their fierce defenses and every game became a slugfest where it was less about who would win and more about who would survive.

However, even such games are always determined by the quarterback. The Ravens found this out the hard way as Ben Roethlisberger has made their lives miserable for the past 10 years. It began in 2008 when he led the victory over them in the AFC championship game and has only gotten worse since. Big Ben has defeated Baltimore twice in the playoffs.

Beyond that? In his career, Roethlisberger has led a 4th quarter comeback 32 times in his career. Five of them have come at the expense of Baltimore. He’s often the one directly responsible for them not being able to even make the playoffs as last season showed with his 506-yard performance service to knock them out of contention.
