The Greatest Villain In the History of All 32 NFL Teams
By Erik Lambert
Philadelphia Eagles
Some of the greatest villains in any part of the entertainment business are the ones who become part of a betrayal. Terrell Owens fits that description better than most, and no team felt his sting more than the Philadelphia Eagles. He was a man that was supposed to deliver them a Super Bowl. In fairness, he almost did with a superb performance against the Patriots in 2004.
That would prove to be his high point in Philly though. In a remarkably short time, he began to alienate everybody from his teammates to his coaches and the fans with his over-the-top antics on and off the field. It grew to be so bad that he was suspended by the team. He never played another down for them and was released after just two seasons.
Rather than get far away from the controversy, Owens chose to feed it instead by signing with the Dallas Cowboys. There is no team on the planet Eagles fans hate more, and this led him to become public enemy number one in that city.
