The Greatest Villain In the History of All 32 NFL Teams

Miami Dolphins
There are plenty of reasons why Dan Marino never won a Super Bowl. Let’s face it. He wasn’t always at his best in the postseason, prone to making a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes. However, he also had the misfortune of having to go through some really tough opponents. Joe Montana and that great 1984 San Francisco team tops the list, but there was another.
The Buffalo Bills of the early 1990s were an AFC dynasty that reached four-straight Super Bowls, and it was often at the expense of the Dolphins and their Hall of Fame QB. No player made their life miserable during those matchups more than Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas. No matter what Miami tried, they just had no answers for him.
In three playoff defeats at the hands of the Bills between 1990 and 1995, Thomas accounted for 521 total yards and four touchdowns. That’s an average of 173.6 yards per game. It’s fair to wonder how different their playoff fortunes would’ve been had they not had to face him so frequently during that period.
