The Greatest Villain In the History of All 32 NFL Teams

Kansas City Chiefs
Make no mistake. The Kansas City Chiefs don’t hold a monopoly on being the team Peyton Manning terrorized during his Hall of Fame career. However, no team was haunted more consistently by him during the entire span of his run from 1998 all the way through 2015. It was that consistent of a tortured period.
It began in 2003. The Chiefs were one of the best teams in the AFC, going 13-3 that year. They hosted co-MVP Manning and the Colts at Arrowhead in the divisional playoff where they just couldn’t keep up in a 38-31 shootout. It took three years to get over that loss. The Chiefs didn’t reach the playoffs again until 2006.
Sure enough, their opener in the wild card round was a visit to Indianapolis. There Manning and an angry Colts defense overpowered Kansas City 23-8. People must’ve danced in the streets when the Colts finally released Manning in 2012. Now he could go somewhere else. Then he signed with the Denver Broncos and things only got worse.
As quarterback up there, Manning went 7-1 in his division showdowns with the Chiefs. Kansas City had to watch the Broncos reach two Super Bowls and win a Lombardi trophy in 2015. It doesn’t get more painful than that.
