Seattle Seahawks: Top five breakout player candidates
Shaquill Griffin, CB
With the Legion of Boom all but completely disbanded, it’s time for a new wave of talent in the Seattle secondary.
Shaquill Griffin has not received nearly as much fanfare as his brother Shaquem this offseason, and understandably so.
Shaquill was a third-round pick of the Seahawks in 2017 out of UCF and showed as a rookie he is capable of being trusted as a number one corner in the NFL.
He led all Seahawks defensive backs with 875 snaps played last season, and finished with 58 total tackles, one interception, and 15 pass breakups.
The Seahawks are going to trust Griffin this year to be their top corner and after last season, it’s hard to disagree with their reasoning. He’s got the ability to be a very special player.
