Seattle Seahawks: Top five breakout player candidates
Dion Jordan, DE
The former third overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft is working to erase the ‘bust’ label that was written in permanent ink by his name after two unproductive seasons with the Miami Dolphins followed by a year-long suspension in 2015.
It appeared as though Jordan would not be playing football again until the Seahawks gave him a chance in 2017, and he was quite productive.
He picked up 18 total tackles and four sacks in five games for the Seahawks, and looked excellent:
With Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril gone, the Seahawks are going to need Jordan to come in and be productive again this season. He has a chance to break out at the age of 28 and prove the talent evaluators in the league were right when they pegged him as a top-five talent.
