Antonio Gates, TE

Antonio Gates is 38 years old, and still capable of playing a role for some NFL team.

The ageless wonder has played his entire NFL career (220 games) with the Chargers and if he wants to play in 2018, may have to look elsewhere for work.

The Chargers, ironically, are a team that could use the insurance Gates would bring to the table, after losing Hunter Henry for the season.

Gates caught just 30 passes for the Chargers in 2017, but three were touchdowns. He hovered right around his career average with 10.5 yards per catch, and despite not being the explosive athlete he once was is still capable of getting open and making plays in the red zone.

There are teams that could greatly benefit from Gates’ pass-catching abilities, leadership, and experience.
