Eric Reid, S

Eric Reid appeared well on his way to being one of the next best safeties in the NFL after his first couple of years in the league, especially after his rookie season.

In 2013, Reid picked off four passes in addition to racking up 91 total tackles and 12 pass breakups.

He followed that up with another three interceptions in 2014, but his play fell off a bit after that.

He played all 16 games in 2016 but didn’t record an interception, and hasn’t played a full 16-game slate since then.

Over the past two seasons, he started 22 total games but picked off a pair of passes in 2017 and looked like he was back on a positive trajectory.

Just 26 years old, Reid has the talent to be a starting safety in the NFL for the next five years or more, and whether or not his current placement on an NFL roster is due to kneeling during the National Anthem remains to be seen, as the safety market is ice cold still.
