Things were bad from the start as reports surfaced later that Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher didn’t want to draft Vince Young. He was pressured to by owner Bud Adams. The two tried to make the best of the situation and had some early success. Young was great his rookie year and ended up going to two Pro Bowls. The problem was he was getting by on ability more than anything.

Criticisms began to surface about his work ethic and lacking ability to properly read defenses. Adjustments were made to counter his athletic prowess and soon the mistakes began to mount. Fisher grew frustrated with him and decided to end the experiment. Young floundered as a backup and spot starter around the league and didn’t last long in that role either.

Despite a career 31-19 record, he threw just 46 touchdowns to 51 interceptions.
