2018 NFL Power Rankings: Biggest QB Teases For All 32 Teams
By Erik Lambert
A lot of people are going to be livid see the name of Y.A. Tittle on this list. Why? He’s a Hall of Famer. He went to seven Pro Bowls. He had two of the best passing seasons in NFL history for his era, throwing 33 touchdowns in 1962 and 36 in 1963. Those numbers may seem pedestrian today, but back when defenses could get away with so much more it was otherworldly.
The thing to remember though is this is New York. Their standards are considerably higher than in other cities. Simply putting up good numbers means nothing to them. If you don’t win championships, you don’t matter. This is why Tittle was a tease. He got to three-straight NFL title games when he joined the Giants. He lost all three, throwing just one TD to 10 interceptions.
That might be the worst kind of tease there is.
