2018 NFL Power Rankings: Biggest QB Teases For All 32 Teams
By Erik Lambert
The best way to describe Aaron Brooks is the “appetizer.” He was the one who introduced quality quarterback play in New Orleans to the new millennium fans. Most people didn’t see him coming as a 4th round pick from Virginia. Thanks to help from offensive coordinator Mike McCarthy though, he soon became one of the more underrated starters in the league.
Unfortunately, he never rose beyond that. For four years he offered glimpses of what he could be. Not only did he go over 3,000 passing yards and 20 touchdowns, he also notched between 150 to 200 rushing yards. Brooks made the playoffs once but never got the team into true contention. The arrival of Drew Brees soon erased everything he did.
