The Minnesota Vikings have actually had a lot of possible examples that would qualify as quarterback teases. Perhaps the one that stands out the most has to be Tommy Kramer. Here’s a man who led the Vikings to four playoff appearances in the 1980s. Yet he threw just three touchdowns to seven interceptions in those games. This is a microcosm of his career.

Kramer won plenty of games over a long period of time, but for every great play he made, he’d bring it right back with a bad one. Perhaps his greatest tease came in 1986. He followed a season of a career-high 26 interception with a Pro Bowl run that saw him throw 24 touchdowns to merely 10 interceptions. People began thinking Super Bowl in 1987.

Then Kramer was replaced after seven games and he never really got the job back.
