2018 NFL Power Rankings: Biggest QB Teases For All 32 Teams
By Erik Lambert
Matt Schaub spent his early career living in the shadow of Michael Vick in Atlanta. So when he arrived to join the Houston Texans, he had a lot to prove and played that way. After two unremarkable seasons in 2007 and 2008, he exploded in 2009. Schaub passed for a franchise record 4,770 yards and 29 touchdown passes, notching the Texans’ first-ever winning season.
He did well the following year but the teasing began in 2011. He made it only 10 games before being lost to a season-ending injury. The next year he made the Pro Bowl while going 12-4 but fell flat in the playoffs. After that Schaub fell off a cliff. By the start of 2014, he was off the team. It had to be one of the fastest falls from grace in recent memory.
