2. Shea Patterson, QB, Michigan

This list is quickly becoming five quarterbacks who have been overrated going into the 2018 college football season.

Shea Patterson wasn’t horrible at Ole Miss by any means. He completed nearly 64 percent of his passes this past season before transferring to play at Michigan with Jim Harbaugh, where expectations are soaring.

Maybe it’s the fact that the number 20 looks so wrong on a quarterback, but Patterson wasn’t impressive enough at Ole Miss in his first two seasons to warrant top five draft hype like he has in his first year with the Wolverines.

As with anything, there’s often a difficult transition period from one location to another. We might be talking about Patterson as a question mark yet again at this time next year, but the fact of the matter is, no one has any idea how he will fare at Michigan.

The combination of him being a five-star recruit, playing in the SEC, and now transferring to play with Harbaugh at Michigan has made Patterson one of the most overrated players in college football going into the season.
