2019 NFL Draft: Five overrated prospects heading into the season

4. Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson

Much like Drew Lock, Dexter Lawrence is a player that should excel at the next level and is probably even worthy of first-round discussion at this point.

He’s been a top prospect since his high school days and came into Clemson in 2016 ready to make a significant impact on a very talented defensive front.

Lawrence was called a ‘supersized Ndamukong Suh’ last year by Bleacher Report.

That kind of hype is something that should cause everyone to pump the brakes a little bit.

To say that a 6-foot-4, 340-pound nose tackle will be the number one pick when teams barely take players at that position in the top 10 anymore is a pretty wild prediction.

Lawrence will likely be a very good NFL player but if an interior player as sound as Quenton Nelson doesn’t even crack the top five, the stars would have to align perfectly for some team to select Lawrence in that range.
