Kansas City Chiefs: Chris Conley, WR

The Chiefs, admittedly, didn’t really have anyone on their roster that was worthy to put on this list besides Conley.

That’s a testament to the job this franchise has done of drafting players and identifying talent for their roster, but if there’s any player on the roster that might be in danger of becoming a bust, it could be wide receiver Chris Conley.

The Chiefs saw somewhat of a breakout from Conley in 2016 when he caught 44 passes for 530 yards.

The former third-round pick out of Georgia was a workout freak at the 2015 Scouting Combine, and the Chiefs placed a pretty big vote of confidence in him with where they drafted him.

If this is the only player on the roster in danger of ‘bust’ status, it’s an indicator that the Chiefs are doing well roster-wise, but Conley created some high expectations with his big workout numbers and then solid 2016 campaign.

Prior to suffering a season-ending injury in 2017, Conley had 11 receptions on 16 targets in five games. The Chiefs brought in Sammy Watkins to feature in their passing game on the opposite side of the field as Tyreek Hill.
