Dirk Koetter . 25. player. 48. . HC. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

After going 9-7 his first year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it looked like the team made the right decision promoting him over Lovie Smith in 2016. Then in 2017 the team struggled all season and regressed in almost every category. Jameis Winston continues to have the same problems he did as a rookie and an offense swimming in talent underachieved across the board.

The general belief is Koetter was almost fired this offseason but the team decided to give him one last chance. The roster was refortified with more talent, particularly on defenses. There are no excuses left. If the Buccaneers fail to make a playoff push in 2018, Koetter likely won’t survive to try again next year. He has to go all in now. Does he have the chops to get this team focused and motivated enough?
