2018 NFL Power Rankings: Top 32 Head Coaches in the NFL

Winning the Super Bowl pretty much guaranteed that Doug Pederson was going to be near the top of this list. However, it’s the way he went about it that pushed him to #3. The Philadelphia Eagles were supposed to be a team that was rebuilding after the disastrous end to the Chip Kelly era. They finished 6-10 in Pederson’s first year. Expectations were they’d be good in a couple years.
Instead they rampaged to a 13-3 record in 2017 to claim home field advantage. What made Pederson’s run even more impressive was how he kept the team humming right along despite losing their MVP quarterback Carson Wentz to a knee injury. Backup Nick Foles led them on a dominant playoff run, capped by an epic performance to win the franchise’s first Lombardi trophy.
