Mike Vrabel . 30. player. 35. . HC. Tennessee Titans

It’s hard to say whether the Patriots connection does Mike Vrabel good or bad in this situation. Sure he comes from the Bill Belichick tree, but that actually hasn’t done many favors to other prospective head coaches who said the same. Romeo Crennel and Josh McDaniels both ended their tenures in failure. Charlie Weis was a flop at Notre Dame. Vrabel doesn’t have history on his side.

His brief run as defensive coordinator in Houston didn’t go well either. The unit took dips in every category from 2016 to 2017 when he took over. Still, the Tennessee Titans swear by his presence as an alpha male and his natural leadership and attention to detail. These are qualities needed in a head coach. Vrabel has always been a big-game player. Maybe it will be the same as a coach.
