How this for a statement? Dan Quinn took his Atlanta Falcons to the Super Bowl in 2016 and they came one quarter away from winning their first Lombardi trophy. However, his best coaching job was last year in 2017. The Falcons had just surrendered the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history and suffered a crushing defeat in overtime to the Patriots and Tom Brady.

By rights, they should’ve collapsed last season and they almost did. After a slow start though Quinn got them rolling around midseason and they were able to not only make the postseason but also won a playoff game. Never mind losing prized coordinator Kyle Shanahan to a head coaching job. Quinn may not have a ring, but with feats like this, it feels like just a matter of time.
