Everybody’s talking about the older brother but the fact is it’s the younger Gruden who has done pretty well for himself all things considered. Jay Gruden plays in one of the more notorious organizations in the NFL. Washington is seemingly always surrounded by some sort of controversy, most often involving their shady owner Daniel Snyder and his right-hand man Bruce Allen.

Despite that Jay Gruden has kept his Redskins team competitive. They had a winning record in two of the past three years including a playoff berth and he also turned Kirk Cousins into an $80+ million quarterback. Given the overall state of that roster, one could say he’s gotten it to overachieve in some respects. Always the sign of a good coach.
