42. . HC. San Francisco 49ers. Kyle Shanahan . 23. player

People seem eager to jump on the Kyle Shanahan bandwagon. It’s not hard to understand why. He’s the son of a two-time Super Bowl champion coach. He is one of the top offensive minds in football and finished his first season on a five-game win streak. The quarterback he needed also appears to be in place with Jimmy Garoppolo. All things seem to be going in his favor.

Yet it must be remembered. The NFL has a way of humbling people who get too far ahead of themselves. Shanahan has some things going his way but the San Francisco 49ers are far from a completed project. He must continue to develop them properly. If he starts pressing them before they’re ready, it could end up leading to a disaster.
