Kliff Kingsbury, Texas Tech

One of the more popular young head coaches in college football, Kingsbury was the prodigal son of the Texas Tech program when hired in 2012. Kingsbury has only guided the Red Raiders to three bowl games during his time with a 1-2 record.

After five seasons, Kingsbury has a 30-33 record as well as the losing bowl record. Within the Big 12 during that time, Kingsbury has a conference record of 16-29 and he has also dealt with the same issue over time: defensive woes.

For this upcoming season, Kingsbury is probably going to need a favorable conference record at least in order to keep the rumor mill from churning. The Red Raiders have TCU, Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and West Virginia on the schedule this year. Ironically, Texas Tech lost to four of those five teams last season and if that happens again, the young Kingsbury may be awaiting a pink slip.
