David Beaty, Kansas

Winning seasons do not occur quite often at the University of Kansas, well at least on the football field they don’t.

It seems much longer than just 11 seasons since the Jayhawks put together a 12-1 campaign and a trip to the Orange Bowl. Under Beaty, Kansas has won just three of his 36 games coached. Absolutely atrocious.

Things did not necessarily start off strong for Beaty in year one. The Jayhawks went winless during that 2015 season and lost eight games by 25 points or more. This past season, the Kansas defense allowed 43.4 points per game which was second worst in all of FBS.

On the upcoming schedule, the Jayhawks have Oklahoma State, West Virginia, TCU, Oklahoma, Texas, and the annual showdown with Kansas State. With consistent winning on the hardwood in Kansas, the football program has been pretty awful, to say the least. If Beaty is able to win four or five games this season, it may save his job. Which says a lot.
