Chicago Bears: The 5 Best Moments of the Past Decade

#3: Brett Favre Night is ruined on Thanksgiving (2015)
Not a single person gave the Bears a chance to win on Thanksgiving night in 2015. It’s not hard to see why. They were a rebuilding team with a new head coach and a defense that lacked serious star power. They were going into Lambeau Field against a Green Bay Packers team that had owned them for years, having not beaten Aaron Rodgers in five years.
If that weren’t enough, it was also a night of celebration. The Packers planned to honor Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre at halftime, someone who’d terrorized the Bears for years. Everything pointed towards a win for them and quite likely a blowout. Remember, the year before Chicago was stomped 55-14 in that same building. Why would it be any different this time?
Revenge is often a big motivator. A lot of players on that Bears team remembered the humiliation and came out with lots of fire. Even Jay Cutler, normally so flustered by the Packers, played one of his best games ever against them. After trading leads in the first half, the Bears clung to a 17-13 lead late in the 4th quarter.
Rodgers managed to drive Green Bay down for a chance to win but the defense stood strong at the goal line to hold them off. It was a thrilling and unexpected win that seemed to revive the spirit of many Bears fans afterward.
