The Oakland Raiders’ secondary desperately needs some kind of a jolt.

They thought they might get it last season from their top pick Gareon Conley, who fell in the draft due to some off-field issues.

Physically, Conley has everything you would want in a cornerback prospect. He now just has to put it all together on the field.

In college, Conley was a very effective press corner with excellent ball skills. The Raiders’ secondary was desperately lacking for turnover forcing ability, and his presence was sorely missed.

With all the players the Raiders have added this offseason, it’s easy to forget how important Conley is going to be to their rebuild defensively. They need him to break out in 2018 in a bad way.
